MACD Triple Divergence indicator and Market Analyzer with alert for NinjaTrader NT8.

Divergence is very common and useful in technical analysis. It indicates possible reversal signals when there are discrepancies between MACD and price movement.

The definition of divergence is when price and indicator move in different direction, for instance, when price is in uptrend and reaches a higher high where the indicator is in downtrend.

What is MACD Triple Divergence?

The concept of triple divergence is intuitional, if there are three continueous divergences in a row between current High and previous Peak then it will trigger a signal.

More signals is not necessary a bad thing, but a signal (Triple Divergence) is confirmed via short, mid and long terms could be more solid.

It doesn't necessarily mean the Triple Divergence is definitely better than the normal version, they detect signals from different angles.

Features:

  •     Instant signal on current(last) bar, no repaint.
  •     Alert when a signal appear.
  •     Select different sound alert files.
  •     Enable to show lines between Highs and Lows.
  •     Please note: it doesn't work in Renko chart.
  •     Market Analyzer with alert.
  •     Enhanced mode will check if all three divergence are consistent
  •     Works in all timeframes.

You can add new sound files to your NT8\sounds directory.

It also comes with a Market Analyzer which makes it possible to track signals within any timeframe.  The input "Range" is used to check if there was a signal within the given number of bars.

You can add more than one column as different timeframes with different settings.

Why Triple Divergence? Is it better than normal divergence?

I have seen many divergence indicators on different platforms but they only check the divergence in one of the three terms, short-term, mid-term or long-term. Regular divergence indicator will not exam all three terms at the same time, but Triple Divergence is capable of completing the task.

Sometimes there are too many divergence appear in a short range for the normal divergence indicator.

Multi Time Frame MTF Dinapoli MACD predictor indicator for tradingview

Multi Time Frame MTF Dinapoli MACD predictor indicator

Dinapoli macd predictor is a trending indicator that give you not only what direction a forex pair is moving but also how volatile the price is. When the Forex market starts giving new max or minimum level values, the Dinapoli macd predictor follows the price trend direction and pullsup the level of quit from the currency market . Stops should be applied where they are for a purpose, and in that case, should not be changed.

The whole idea behind a practical trading plan is to keep it as simple as possible.

There are two main advantages to its use.

1. You are able to determine, one period ahead of time, what price will cause the MACD to turn from a buy to a sell or visa versa. It is a cousin to the Oscillator predictor. If you take a position you know right then and there, the exact price, the current and next (future) bar will need to achieve for the MACD to cross. You can also literally see the distance the market has to go, before your current position is either helped or hindered by the force of the next MACD cross. You can do this in all time frames, as the predictor updates in real time.

2. You are able to determine the "Dynamic Pressure" on the market by clearly observing price action with the MACD Predictor history, superimposed directly on the bar chart. Dynamic pressure refers to how the market reacts to buy and sell signals. If you get a 30 minute sell on the MACD and the market goes flat for example, you know right then and there that the next buy signal is apt to be a big winner! This was something I would regularly do with the standard DiNapoli MACDbut now it is so much easier to see!

MACD Divergence indicator for Thinkorswim TOS

Buy Now!

MACD Divergence indicator gives possible reversal signals when there are discrepancies between MACD and price movement.

Divergence emerges when price and oscillator indicator move in different directions.

For instance, an uptrend Negative Divergence occurs when price reaches a higher high, but the indicator fails to follow. In a downtrend, positive divergence occurs when price reaches a lower low, yet the indicator does not reach a lower low.
For the most part, oscillator indicators and price trailing each other and move in the same direction. However, when they start to drift apart, the current trade may consolidate or exhibit a reverse pattern.

Features:
  1. Alert: provide both sound and message alert whenever a divergence is found. You can turn it on or off.

  2. Length 1&2: Define the range of bars which are used to calculate the recent High and previous High, as shown in picture.

  3. MACD_mode: Choose "Upper" to only plot signal arrows on price chart.
Choose "lower" it will plot as a MACD indicator with divergence signals.

  4. Percent: The difference between High1 and High2, as shown in picture.

  5. MACD_Percent: The difference between MACD1 and MACD2, as shown in picture.

  6. All Parameters of MACD: Adjust the inputs of MACD indicator.

How to use:
The purpose of divergence indicator is to point when price  trend are moving into  opposite direction.
Negative divergence:
First of all, we need to locate the recent High1 and its MACD1 value within the given range(lenght1).
Secondly, we find the previous High2 and its MACD2 value within the given range(lenght2).

Then we compare the ratio of these 2 Highs and MACD values to determine if they meet the percentage you set.

For example, if you set "percent=3", then it will check if High1 is greater than High2 by 3%. If you set "MACD percent=5" then it will check if MACD1 is less than MACD2 by 5%.
If both percent conditions are met, there will be a red arrow pointing downward.

Positive divergence:
The indicator will find the recent Low1 and its MACD1 value within the given range(lenght1).
And then it will find the previous Low2 and its MACD2 value within the given range(lenght2).

If you set "percent=1", then it will check if Low1 is less than Low2 by 1%. If you set "MACD percent=5" then it will check if MACD1 is greater than MACD2 by 5%.
If both percent conditions are met, there will be a green arrow pointing upward.

Please note: in order to plot this indicator on both price chart and lower chart, you need to load it in two places. And set MACD_mode to "Upper" in Price chart and MACD_mode to "lower" in Lower chart. As shown in the following picture.
If you want the same signals on both charts, all parameters have to be consistent on both sides.

This indicator works in any time period and applicable for all securities(Stocks, Futures, Forex, Options,ETF, etc.).
When you use this indicator in minute chart, it's better to set "percent" less than 1, otherwise, lots of signals will be filtered.
